MORE THAN YOU BEST!

#365Days of Impact🔱

MORE THAN YOUR BEST!

Giving off your best in life is not necessarily giving more.
Sometimes, what we consider our best is no where near the best and this is not enough.
Other times, our best is fettered by mediocrity, and sometimes also, just our desire to do a little just above the average.

Quite amazingly however, we all seek to be the best in whatever we do with our mediocre of a best!
Being the best in whatever you do means giving more than what you call your 'best'.

David Beckham, regarded one of the very best set-piece takers in the history of football gave more than his 'best' in his specialty, by staying a lot longer after the usual training to perfect his pieces.
So did Muhammed Ali, who considered himself the greatest boxer which he undoubtedly is, considering his record and according to pundits of the game, take extra hours of training as well as taking extra punches; more than the usual.
The tall list goes on and on.

Are you the best at what you do?
Do you seek to be the best at what you do?
In whatever field you may find yourself, you need to give more than your best to be undoubtedly considered the best.
You cannot be the the best if you don't give more than your best.

Never let the standards of everyone else be your standard.
Dare to stand out!
Today, I choose to be the best in my specialty!
What is your specialty?
Are you the best in your specialty?
You can be, if you give more than your best!

You're Not Too Young To Make An Impact!

#365Days of Impact 🔱
You're Not Too Young To Make An Impact!

Under the sun, I've witnessed the well advanced in age pass on, and so have I seen the young die.
But most significantly, I have seen the young die but leave behind a great deal of Impact on the lives of individuals and their society as a whole, and so have I seen the old die, only to be recognised for how long they lived.

Do you think you're too young to make an impact?
I guess you'd have to think again!

David was but a boy when he slew Goliath.
Tomorrow is never promised, and you may be too old to make the desired impact tomorrow.

Great writers like JD Salinger, Stephen King and William Shakespeare didn't have to wait till they were 'older' to publish their first books.
Shakespeare is said to have lived for just 52 years, but I guess we all know his impact on literature.

How old was Jesus Christ when he made an everlasting impact on all mankind? I leave you to answer that.
A friend once said, "there are 7 days in a week, and 'someday' is obviously not one of them".

Choose to make an impact on the lives of people around you.
Tomorrow may be too late, because it is not promised.

You're not too young to make an Impact!
Make An Impact!
Stay Blessed!

What a Master Thinker He is! He thinks beautiful.

Prinspired to LEAD 🌐

What a Master Thinker He is! He thinks beautiful.

When He thought of saving Israel from famine, He thought of the dreamer Joseph.

When He thought of the oppressor Goliath, the boy David came to mind.

When He thought of canceling man’s excuses, He thought; let’s bring in Helen Keller.

When He thought of the need for a Civil Rights activist, He thought; Luther King would be the perfect fit.

When He thought of a Computer revolution, He thought; this is time for Bill Gates.

Truth is, Your Purpose chose you.

When He thought of; an End time diligent minister, a corporate CEO, an amazing musician, a talented artist, a skilled poet, a true human rights activist;

When He thought of someone; who would help pay the fees of those children, who would transform that community, who would deliver Africa, who would change the world, YOU CAME TO HIS MIND.

Never regret you are you. You are the beauty He thought of.

Whenever you feel like giving up, remember this;

When He thought of a particular NEED on earth, YOU came to mind.

THE MOPED STORY!

#365Days of Impact🔱
The Moped Story!

A man once had a moped, but for some reasons best known to him, he kept on using the cycling function of this machine. He used it for so long a time, he felt he was using a bicycle and not a moped. Even in urgent situations when this moped could have served him well and a lot faster, this man stuck to cycling it.

The moped could be used as a motor-bike and could be a lot faster as well help the rider save much energy, but it wasn't being used as such; IT WAS BEING UNDERUSED! However, the moped, not being utilized to its outmost potential barely caused it any misfortune. The rider on the other hand, lost so much including his job for his failure to use the machine efficiently.

This moped refers to the POWER in us; that POTENTIAL to do great things! However, just like the rider, we fail to see and use what we have.
Our ability to use our moped efficiently, does not affect us only, but goes a long way in changing our society. We have that POWER to do GREAT things than we could ever imagine.

The WORST thing you could ever do for yourself and society is to DIE not living your full POTENTIAL because you had no knowledge of the POWERFUL person that you truly were!

Have a Blessed Week!

DISCIPLINE IS EVERYTHING!

#365Days of Impact🔱
DISCIPLINE IS EVERYTHING!

Some few days back, the Harmattan was awful at my end.
It was so severe and before I knew it, it was past midday and I had done virtually nothing since morning, but for my staying in bed!
"After all school was on break and it wouldn't matter staying in bed the whole day", I said to myself.
After a while however, I quizzed, "WHO DOES THAT"?

I had some clothes soaked in water that needed to be washed and I was still in bed?
I wasn't through with the book I had started, and I was still in bed?
I had even planned to go to the barbershop, and I was using the weather as an excuse? Who does that?

I later settled in one thing; I HADN'T BEEN DISCIPLINE ENOUGH!
How and why should I allow the weather to make me unproductive?
I remembered how one uncle in Europe always said they gave very little or no room for 'weather excuses', but went about their activities perfectly.
But was it me, or it was an African thing?

Here in Africa we were used to 'weather excuses' and I had grown up hearing several of them.
Discipline had made Europe a world Power!
Napoleon Hill once said, "if you do not conquer self, you will be conquered by self"!
He who lacks discipline lacks the desire to succeed because the best way to succeed in life is to be disciplined!
Be Disciplined!

TIME: BEATING THE BUZZER!

#365Days Of Impact🔱
TIME: BEATING THE BUZZER!

After following the game of Basketball for sometime, I've come to learn the importance of one thing, BEATING THE BUZZER!

BEATING THE BUZZER is simply a shot that is made right on the timer(right before the clock stops), and amazingly BEATING THE BUZZER most often than not changes the outcome of the game;EXTENDING THE GAME or CROWNING A WINNER!
BEATING THE BUZZER shows the ESSENCE OF TIME,and is a simple way in which Basketball tries to tell you that every SECOND in LIFE is of great importance and that you may BE A SECOND LATE FROM SUCCESS!

I'd like to urge you to spend your time 'WISELY' and with those WORTH it, bearing in mind that every second could BEAT A BUZZER and if wasted cannot and can never be regained!
We all serve a God who respects Time, and all throughout the Bible talks about the essence of time!
In Exodus 9:5-6, it reads, "The Lord set a Time and said,"Tomorrow the Lord will do this in the Land", and the next day,the Lord did it".
Dear friend, put your hand to do something, and fulfill it.....Do not procrastinate, for as the saying goes,"PROCRASTINATION IS A THIEF OF TIME"!

Do your very best to BEAT THE BUZZER THIS YEAR and trust me, YOU WILL SEE SUCCESS!
HAVE A BLESSED NEW YEAR!

MAKE THINGS HAPPEN

#365Days of Impact🔱
MAKE THINGS HAPPEN!

Fortunately or unfortunately, almost all of us, if not all dislike politicians for one reason, WE CONSIDER THEM AS LIARS; NEVER FULFILLING PROMISES!
But have we ever thought of the 'politicians' in us,the lies we keep making to ourselves as individuals?

Year after year we make resolutions, and most often than not we fail to fulfill them!
How then do hate politicians when in actual sense there's no difference between us?
Could it be HYPOCRISY, or CRUELTY, or probably we showing how BIAS we can be!
Whatever be the case, that shows we'd do no different in their position.

Enough of the talk people!
This world is actually ruled by people who make things happen and talk less, and you can be one if you're ready to move from the TALKING ZONE!
Apple for instance is able to get the world speculating and anticipating their upcoming project, which often comes out not as speculated(could be better or worse)!
Choose to MAKE THINGS HAPPEN!
Say to yourself, "ENOUGH OF THE TALK!"

Africa in particular needs more change makers and less change talkers!
Congratulations to organizations like 1BillionAfrica (1billionafrica.org), who are bent on changing Africa and making it a better place!
CHOOSE TO BE A CHANGE MAKER!

STAY BLESSED!

ONLY THE ORDINARY DOES THE UNIMAGINABLE!

#365Days Of Impact🔱

ONLY THE ORDINARY DOES THE UNIMAGINABLE!

By the year 2002, over 200,000 people had died in the Liberian civil war which had erupted on the eve of Christmas in 1989. Almost all men including young boys, were involved in the war and there seemed to be no end in sight, until ordinary women did only what the ordinary does:THE UNIMAGINABLE! They did everything possible to ensure peace returned to the land, going every length, even as far as refusing their husbands some 'privileges' due them in marriage.
In a world filled with the ORDINARY, it is only feasible that the ORDINARY do the EXTRAORDINARY; THE UNIMAGINABLE!

These women refused to be caged by religion, and joined hands in pursuit of PEACE!
They saw to the successful handing over of power in a nation tattered by war, and did their possible best to ensure all ammunitions in wrong hands were recovered.
Women, the weak gender as we see them, saw to their  ability to do the UNIMAGINABLE as ordinary as they were, and helped a nation that was crying for help, get back on her feet and restart the race for growth and development!

The 'weak woman' in you is waiting to come out to do the UNIMAGINABLE, that can only be done by the 'stronger woman' in you!
What are you pursuing?and what are you caged in?
You can do the UNIMAGINABLE ONLY IF you're ready to do it!
Peter Gabriel,a writer, once said that,"All the buildings, all of those cars, were once just a dream in somebody's head"!

What is your dream?
Is it UNIMAGINABLE?
STEP OUT AND MAKE IT A REALITY!
Make an Impact!
Stay Blessed!
